Description: Over the last couple of years, Mastersmith Aaron Wilburn, a long time maker of knives for the outdoor enthusiast, has expanded his focus to include culinary knives - creating high-performing kitchen workhorses! This elegant chef's knife is sure to become a cherished primary chef's knife. The long blade is perfect for a rocking chop with plenty of finger clearance over a cutting board. Whether chopping tomatoes, onions, or slicing meat, this knife is a perfect choice.
The 10-1/2 inch damascus blade incorporates 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels, forming intriguing raindrop pattern damascus with beautiful contrast.
The handle is formed from Arizona desert ironwood. The scales are secured using Loveless style fasteners made from brass and stainless steel. It swells nicely toward the front midsection of the handle, moving into a slimmer waist and finally swelling at the beak end of the handle. The knife has great balance and feels exceptional in the hand. Ironwood holds up well to the heavy demands of either a professional or home kitchen.
Excellent fit and finish throughout!
