Description: Australian knifemaker Towball Weightman is a friend of Mastersmith Bill Burke. Weightman's knives are works of art that excel in performance. This chef's knife really shows his expertise and his understanding of chef's knife geometry really shines through.
This high performance chef's knife is a perfect choice as a primary knife in the kitchen. The long, deep-bellied blade is well suited for slicing vegetables and meats. The gentle arch of the cutting edge is perfect for a rocking chopping motion with plenty of finger clearance over a cutting board.
The 8 inch blade is formed from 12C27 stainless steel, ensuring a high performing, low maintenance knife. This knife is perfectly balanced and is not one that you'll want to put down.
The traditional octagonal wa handle is formed from desert ironwood (Olneya tesota). The warm toned wood has a nice mix of light and dark tones with a tremendous underlying figure. A black G-10 'bolster' seals the front of the handle from absorbing water during use.
Exceptional work throughout!
