Description: Aaron Wilburn became a journeyman smith in June of 2009 and a master smith in 2013. He has an incredible control over damascus that few others can replicate. Aaron creates serious knives for some of the most avid collectors and knife enthusiasts.
The blade was forged to shape using Aaron's own Reptile pattern mosaic damascus. The dense, high layer pattern will keep you staring for hours! Wilburn Forge is stamped on the left side of the knife and Aaron's M.S. mark and knife number (533) is stamped on the right side of the knife. The bronze habaki (blade guard borrowed from Japanese swords) has been textured for a positive grip.
The handle combines a beautiful section of ancient walrus ivory with a textured wrought iron guard. The handle is extremely comfortable and balances well in hand. It is finished with a nickel silver spacer and silver pins.
This knife includes a handmade alligator leather sheath lined with kangaroo leather made by Aaron's daughter Francesca. The sheath is a perfect fit and will keep the knife close at hand.
Excellent work throughout!
