Description: Up and coming knifemaker, Jordan Buckley has tremendous attention to detail.Jordan, who is 20 years old (b. Feb 2004) is a Washington native. His passion for bladesmithing is clear throughout all his knives. His work and aesthetic have tremendous refinement despite only having been making knives for 5 years. Perhaps it is no surprise that he aspires to become a mastersmith by 25!
This high performance chef's knife is a perfect choice as a primary knife in the kitchen. Whether slicing, chopping, dicing, or mincing, this knife will be a perfect choice. The gentle arc of the cutting edge is perfect for a rocking, chopping motion with plenty of finger clearance over a cutting board.
The blade is hand forged 1084 carbon steel and features a meticulous hand rubbed satin finish. 1084 carbon steel is tough, chip resistant, and maintains a razor sharp edge for a long time. The blade is ground beautifully thin for high performance cuts. The spine and choil are nicely rounded for comfort. Buckley's touchmark is on the left side of the blade.
The Japanese-inspired octagonal handle offers a comfortable, ambidextrous grip. The handle is dyed and stabilized curly maple. The handle is heirloom fit to an antiqued bronze ferrule. Like other knives, this knife should not be put in the dishwasher.
Excellent work throughout!
