Description: Since 1997, Randall's Adventure and Training has designed no-nonsense, affordable field knives under the ESEE brand specifically targeted to military, law enforcement, and the special operations community. Many ESEE knives now serve in the combat zones of Iraq, Afghanistan, and other remote locales. ESEE Knives is setting the standard for many local, state, and federal law enforcement officers when it comes to high performance, compact sheath knives with multiple carry options. ESEE has worked to design their knives with the U.S. Marshals Service, USMS SOG teams, U.S. Special Forces teams, Navy Special Boat Teams, Peruvian Special Forces, Colombian Police Forces, the Peruvian Anti-Narcotics Task Force, survival experts, and outdoorsmen and adventurers all over the world. Randall's Adventure and Training courses and gear have been featured on the Travel Channel, Discovery Channel and in numerous movies, books, leading outdoor magazines and trade publications. All ESEE logo knives are proudly manufactured in the U.S.A. by Rowen Manufacturing in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Every knife is backed by the best no-questions-asked warranty in the industry!
The ESEE Expat Cleaver (ESEE-CL1) is a no-nonsense tool for either the field or kitchen. Cleavers are traditionally used for cutting through bones and breaking down large pieces of meat. This cleaver could also cut kindling, or do light batoning work.
The 6-inch blade is stonewashed black oxide finished 1095 carbon steel, hardened to 55-57 Hrc. 1095 is tough and very impact resistant, making it a great steel choice for a bushcrafting knife, chef’s or hunter’s cleaver. Jimping along the spine grants excellent thumb purchase.
Handle scales are textured black G-10, secured to the full tang using torx screws. This allows the scales to be removed if cleaning or maintenance is needed. The exposed tang features a lanyard hole. To keep the knife safe during transportation, a leather blade cover is included. Also included in the box is an ESEE Expat coin and the cut-out of Idaho from the cleaver blade.
Made in the USA.
